Dr. Elly completed her Bachelor of Science as well as Doctorate of Audiology degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. She has been seeing patients since 2003 and loves what she does! She has a well-rounded experience in Audiology and has worked in many types of offices, including Ear, Nose, & Throat offices, Hospitals, as well as the V.A. Medical Center. She believes that one of the most important aspects of what she does is counseling, and taking the time to answer any questions or concerns that the patients might have. Since this is a private practice, Dr. Elly has the luxury of taking the additional time if needed, so that the patient does not feel rushed. Dr. Elly has a sweet daughter and step daughter, an adorable Shihtzu, and a husband whom she adores. She has been working in the Memorial area since 2009 and growing her other baby, Memorial Hearing, since 2011.

Approach: We treat Misophonia with a three phase approach:
Protect the patient from trigger sounds using sound generation.
Reduce or eliminate central gain of trigger sounds.
Rethink the trigger sounds and create new neural networks to reduce or eliminate the negative reactions of the limbic system to trigger sounds
Dr. Land is always searching professional literature for the most current research and information regarding Misophonia, hyperacusis and other sound sensitivities. She is focused on finding the best therapies to help her patients live easier, more engaged lives.
